Misfires in cylinders 3 and 5 can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
Spark plugs
Check the spark plugs in cylinders 3 and 5 to make sure they are properly seated and gapped. Replace any worn or damaged spark plugs.
Ignition coils
Check the ignition coils in cylinders 3 and 5 to make sure they are properly connected and functioning properly. Replace any faulty ignition coils.
Fuel injectors
Check the fuel injectors in cylinders 3 and 5 to make sure they are properly seated and functioning properly. Replace any faulty fuel injectors.
Vacuum leaks
Check the vacuum lines for leaks around cylinders 3 and 5. Repair any leaks found.
Compression
Check the compression in cylinders 3 and 5. Low compression can cause misfires.
Timing
Check the timing belt or chain to make sure it is properly aligned. Misfires can occur if the timing is off.
Engine Control Unit (ECU)
The ECU controls the ignition timing and fuel injection for the engine. A faulty ECU can cause misfires.
If you have checked all of the above items and the misfires are still occurring, you may need to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.
