Step 1:
- Release the accelerator pedal.
- As you release the accelerator, apply light pressure to the brake pedal.
- This will help slow the truck down and make it easier to downshift.
Step 2:
- Lift the shift lever up to the "N" position.
- This will put the transmission in neutral.

- Select the desired lower gear.

- Accelerate.
