1. Engine Oil Filter Housing: This is a common source of oil leaks, especially on older Range Rovers. Check for leaks around the oil filter housing gasket.
2. Oil Pan Gasket: The oil pan gasket is located at the bottom of the engine and can leak if it becomes worn or damaged. Look for oil drips or puddles underneath the vehicle.
3. Valve Cover Gaskets: Valve cover gaskets are located on the top of the engine and can leak oil if they become brittle or cracked. Check for oil leaks around the perimeter of the valve covers.
4. Camshaft Seals: Camshaft seals are located at the front and rear of the cylinder head and can leak if they become worn or damaged. Look for oil leaks around the camshaft seal areas.
5. Oil Cooler O-Rings: The oil cooler is located near the front of the engine and can leak oil if the O-rings that seal it become worn or damaged. Check for oil leaks around the oil cooler lines and connections.
6. Power Steering System: If the power steering system is leaking fluid, it can appear to be an engine oil leak. Check the power steering fluid reservoir and lines for leaks.
