Tools Needed:
- Flat-head screwdriver
- Pliers
1. Locate the gas cap. The gas cap is located on the rear-left side of the vehicle, behind the driver's side rear tire.
2. Use a screwdriver to pry open the access panel. The access panel is located directly above the gas cap. Insert the screwdriver into the gap between the access panel and the surrounding bodywork and pry it up.
3. Remove the access panel. Once the access panel is pried up, you can remove it by pulling it straight up.
4. Use the pliers to turn the lock nut. On the back of the gas cap is a lock nut that turns to lock the gas cap in place. Use the pliers to turn the nut to the left until it loosens and you can remove it.
5. Remove the gas cap. Once the lock nut is removed, you can unscrew the gas cap by turning it to the left.
Note: If you do not have a screwdriver and pliers, you can also use a key to unlock the gas cap. Insert the key into the lock and turn it to the left until the cap unlocks.
