1. Park the car on a level surface.
2. Turn on the engine and allow it to run for a few minutes.
3. Ensure the air conditioner is turned off and in Max A/C mode.
4. Locate the low pressure charging hose port. It is located on the passenger side of the engine bay, near the firewall.
5. Remove the cap.* Attach the charging hose to the port and turn the valve at the end of the hose counterclockwise to open the flow.
6. Start the car engine.
7. Check the refrigerant pressure gauge. The pressure should be within 37.79 to 71.13 psi.
8. Add refrigerant if necessary.
9. Turn off the engine and disconnect the charging hose.
10. Replace the cap on the low pressure charging hose port.
11. Recharge the system in accordance with the factory-specified refrigerant level. Overcharging will damage the system and can be extremely dangerous.
12. Monitor the system pressure for a few minutes to ensure that it is stable.
