Note: Before starting any work, ensure the vehicle is parked on level ground and that the engine is completely cool.
1. Gather the necessary tools and parts:
- Replacement water pump (OEM or high-quality aftermarket)
- New coolant
- Coolant bleed screw
- Basic hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.)
- Socket set
- Torque wrench
- Funnel
- Safety glasses and gloves
- Rags
2. Prepare the car:
- Open the hood and remove the engine cover (if equipped).
- Disconnect the negative terminal of your car's battery to ensure safety.
3. Drain the coolant:
- Locate the drain plug on the radiator. It's usually located at the bottom of the radiator.
- Place a container underneath the drain plug to catch the coolant.

- Carefully place the new water pump into its housing, ensuring the gasket is properly seated.
- Install the bolts and tighten them to the specified torque.
9. Reinstall the serpentine belt:
- Place the serpentine belt back onto the pulleys and reinstall the tensioner.
10. Refill the coolant:
- Slowly pour the new coolant into the radiator or coolant reservoir.
- Fill it until the coolant level reaches the "Full" mark.

- Find the coolant bleed screw. It's usually located at the top of the engine near the thermostat housing
- Open the bleed screw and let any trapped air escape.
- Close the bleed screw once the coolant starts to flow out steadily.
12. Connect the battery terminal:
- Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
