Were is located the crank position sensor on a jetta 97 2.0?

The crank position sensor on a 1997 Jetta 2.0 is usually located near the bottom of the engine at the rear of the cylinder head, close to the transmission bell housing. Sometimes there may be covers or other components installed in there which need to be removed before you can gain access to the sensor.
