1. Park the car on a flat surface. Make sure that the car is not leaning to one side or the other.
2. Open the front door of the car and stand in front of the driver's seat.
3. Place the measuring tape or ruler on the ground, starting at the front of the car.
4. Extend the measuring tape or ruler to the back of the car.
5. Read the measurement from the measuring tape or ruler. This is the length of the car.
Note: If the car is not parked on a flat surface, the measurement may not be accurate. Also, if the car is not level, the measurement may not be accurate.
