1. Locate the dimmer switch. In the 2000 SLK, the dimmer switch is usually located on the dashboard, to the left of the steering wheel.
2. Turn the dimmer switch. Rotate the dimmer switch clockwise to increase the brightness of the dashboard lights.
3. Adjust to your desired brightness. Continue turning the dimmer switch until the dashboard lights are at the brightness level you prefer.
4. Test the brightness. Turn the headlights on and off to see if the dashboard lights dim and brighten accordingly.
