Step 1: Identify the Side Light
Locate the faulty side light. It will be found within the headlight assembly.
Step 2: Replace the Side Light
Remove the headlight assembly from the vehicle. To do this, you may need to remove the front bumper. Disconnect the electrical connector to release it from the assembly.
Open the assembly by removing the screws or clips that hold it together.
Locate the side light bulb and remove it from its socket.
Insert the new side light bulb into the socket and secure it in place.
Reassemble the headlight assembly and reinstall it in the vehicle.
Reconnect the electrical connector.
Step 3: Test the Side Light
Turn on the headlights to test the side light. If it is working properly, you can reattach the front bumper (if necessary).
Tips:
- When replacing the side light, be sure to use the same type of bulb that was originally installed.
- Side lights are also known as parking lights or city lights.
- If you are having difficulty changing the side light, you may want to consult a qualified mechanic.
