1. Open the hood of the vehicle.
2. Locate the engine coolant reservoir, which is a translucent plastic container with a black cap on the driver's side of the engine compartment.
3. Follow the upper radiator hose from the reservoir to the engine.
4. The coolant temperature sensor is located on the thermostat housing, which is at the end of the upper radiator hose.
5. The sensor is a small, cylindrical device with a single electrical connector attached to it. It may have a green or blue connector.
