1. Open the hood of the car.
* Use the latch located in the footwell to pull up on the hood release lever.
* This will release the secondary latch.
* Lift up on the hood and prop it open with the support rod.
2. Remove the upper trim panel.
* Start by prying away the upper edge of the trim panel in the center.
* This is a pressure clip that pulls towards the front of the vehicle.
* Once this central clip is free, you can pull towards you on the upper edge of the panel moving around the corner of the panel with each clip.
3. Locate and remove the headlight mounting bolts.
* There are two bolts, an 8mm, and a T25 Torx bolt located along the upper edge of the headlight assembly behind the upper trim panel.
* Remove these two bolts with the proper tools.
*NOTE: The T25 Torx bolts are "cap screws" and will pull completely out of the headlight assembly. Be sure to grab the bolt on the other side of the bracket when reinstalling so that the T25 bolt threads back into its mount.*
4. Pry off the headlight assembly.
* The headlight assembly is held in place by plastic clips.
* You will need to pry the assembly out along the edges with a flat-head screwdriver until all the clips pop free.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector.
* There is an electrical connector attached to the back of the headlight assembly.
* Press down on the connector tab to release the connector.
* Disconnect the connector by pulling it straight back.
6. Remove the headlight assembly.
* Now that the headlight assembly is disconnected, you can lift the assembly out of the vehicle's body and set it aside on the ground.
