1. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position, but do not start the engine.
2. Press and hold the trip reset button on the instrument panel until the oil change indicator light starts to flash.
3. Release the trip reset button and press and hold it again until the oil change indicator light turns off.
4. Turn off the ignition and then restart the engine. The oil change indicator light should now be reset.
If the oil change indicator light does not reset, you may need to have the vehicle's computer reset by a BMW dealer or qualified mechanic.
