How do you heat vents work in a car?

Heating vents in a car work by using the heat generated by the engine to warm up the air inside the vehicle. The engine produces heat as a byproduct of combustion, and this heat is transferred to the coolant fluid that circulates throughout the engine. The coolant then flows through the heater core, which is a small radiator located inside the passenger compartment of the car. As the coolant passes through the heater core, it transfers its heat to the air that flows over it. The heated air is then blown into the passenger compartment through the heating vents.

The heating vents are controlled by a switch on the dashboard that allows the driver to select the desired temperature. The switch also controls the fan speed, which determines how much air is blown through the vents. When the heating system is turned on, the coolant pump circulates the coolant through the heater core and the fan blows air over it. The heated air is then blown into the passenger compartment through the heating vents.
