Step 1: Gather the necessary tools.
You will need a flat-head screwdriver or a pry tool and a replacement dome light bulb.
Step 2: Locate the overhead dome light cover.
The overhead dome light is located in the center of the roof of the car. It is a rectangular plastic cover that is held in place by two clips, one on each side.
Step 3: Remove the cover.
Use the flat-head screwdriver or pry tool to gently pry the two clips that hold the cover in place. Be careful not to damage the cover or the surrounding trim.
Step 4: Remove the old bulb.
Once the cover is removed, you will see the old dome light bulb. It is held in place by a small twist-and-lock mechanism. Turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it.
Step 5: Install the new bulb.
Insert the new dome light bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.
Step 6: Replace the cover.
Realign the cover with the two clips and press it into place until it snaps shut.
Step 7: Test the light.
Turn on the dome light to make sure that the new bulb is working properly.
