1. Park your Accord in a safe and well-lit area, turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
2. Open the hood of your Accord by pulling the hood release lever located in the footwell on the driver's side.
3. Locate the headlight assembly that you need to replace. The Accord has separate headlight assemblies for the low beam and high beam headlights.
4. Remove the headlight cover by turning the cover counterclockwise and pulling it off.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the headlight bulb by pressing the release tab and pulling the connector straight out.
6. Remove the old headlight bulb by turning it counterclockwise and pulling it straight out.
7. Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the terminals of the new headlight bulb to prevent corrosion.
8. Install the new headlight bulb by turning it clockwise until it is snug.
9. Reconnect the electrical connector to the back of the headlight bulb.
10. Replace the headlight cover by turning it clockwise until it is secure.
11. Close the hood of your Accord.
Repeat these steps on the other side of the vehicle if you are replacing both headlights.
NOTE: If you are uncomfortable with changing your Accord's headlights yourself, you can take it to a qualified mechanic to have the work done.
