How do you remove car stereo in 2004 Subaru Forester?

To remove the car stereo in a 2004 Subaru Forester, you will need the following tools:

- A Phillips head screwdriver

- A flat head screwdriver

- A trim removal tool (optional)

Instructions:

1. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the battery. This will prevent any electrical damage from occurring while you are working.

2. Remove the trim pieces around the stereo. There are two trim pieces on either side of the stereo. Use the flat head screwdriver to pry the trim pieces off, starting at the bottom and working your way up.

3. Remove the four screws that hold the stereo in place. Once the trim pieces are removed, you will see four screws that hold the stereo in place. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove these screws.

4. Pull the stereo out of the dash. Once the screws are removed, you can pull the stereo out of the dash. Be careful not to drop the stereo, as it is heavy.

5. Disconnect the wiring harness. There is a wiring harness that is connected to the back of the stereo. Use the flat head screwdriver to disconnect the wiring harness.

6. Install the new stereo. If you are installing a new stereo, connect the wiring harness to the back of the stereo. Then, slide the stereo into the dash and secure it with the four screws.

7. Reinstall the trim pieces. Once the new stereo is installed, reinstall the trim pieces around the stereo.

8. Reconnect the battery. Reconnect the battery to turn on the power to the stereo.
