Instructions:
1. Ensure that the car is parked in a safe and well-lit area. Put the parking brake on.
2. Open the hood of the BMW 745Li.
3. Locate the positive and negative terminals on the battery. These terminals are usually marked with a "+" symbol for the positive terminal and a "-" symbol for the negative terminal.
4. Loosen the negative terminal on the battery using the Phillips screwdriver. Be careful not to touch any metal parts of the car with the screwdriver, as this could cause a short circuit.
5. Disconnect the negative terminal by pulling the wire off of the battery post.
6. Locate the emergency trunk release mechanism. This is usually located near the rear seats.
7. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry open the cover of the emergency trunk release mechanism.
8. Use the flashlight to illuminate the emergency trunk release mechanism and insert the flat-head screwdriver into the slot.
9. Turn the flat-head screwdriver clockwise until the trunk is released.
10. Open the trunk and connect the positive and negative terminals on the battery. Be sure to tighten the nuts on the battery terminals securely.
11. Close the trunk, replace the emergency trunk release mechanism cover and lower the hood.
12. Start the vehicle.
