Tools and Materials Required:
- Replacement Wing Mirror
- Screwdriver
- Pliers
- Socket Wrench Set
Instructions:
1. Remove the Old Wing Mirror:
- Use a screwdriver to pry open the cover of the wing mirror housing. Be careful not to damage the paint.
- Locate the three bolts that secure the wing mirror to the door.
- Use a socket wrench to loosen and remove the bolts.
- Gently pull the wing mirror outward to remove it from the door.
2. Disconnect the Electrical Connections:
- Locate the electrical connector for the wing mirror. It is usually a small, plastic plug.
- Use a screwdriver to pry open the connector and disconnect it.
3. Install the Replacement Wing Mirror:
- Align the replacement wing mirror with the holes on the door.
- Insert the three bolts and tighten them with a socket wrench.
- Reconnect the electrical connector by snapping it back into place.
- Replace the cover of the wing mirror housing.
4. Test the Wing Mirror:
- Adjust the wing mirror to the desired position.
- Check that the electrical connections are working properly, including turn signals and heated mirror (if applicable).
