* Replacement alternator
* 13mm socket
* 15mm socket
* Ratchet
* Wrench
* Pliers
* Screwdriver
* Funnel
* New coolant (if necessary)
Instructions:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Remove the serpentine belt.
4. Unbolt the alternator from the engine mount.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the alternator.
6. Remove the alternator from the vehicle.
7. Install the new alternator in reverse order of removal.
8. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
9. Start the engine and check for leaks.
Additional notes:
* Be careful not to drop the alternator when removing it from the vehicle.
* If the alternator is seized, you may need to use a pry bar to remove it.
* When installing the new alternator, be sure to tighten the bolts to the proper torque specifications.
* If you are replacing the alternator due to a coolant leak, be sure to flush the cooling system and add new coolant before starting the engine.
