Note: Before you start, make sure you have the correct key for your Renault Clio.
Tools Needed:
- Small screwdriver
- Pliers
1. Locate the Release Button:
On the backside of your Renault Clio key, you will find a small release button. It is usually located near the bottom of the key.
2. Press and Hold the Release Button:
Press and hold the release button with your finger or the tip of a small screwdriver.
3. Slide the Back Cover Off:
While holding down the release button, slide the back cover off the key in the opposite direction. It should come off easily.
4. Release the Button:
Once the back cover is completely off, release the release button.
5. Replace the Key Battery (if needed):
If the battery in your Renault Clio key needs replacing, this is the time to do it. Simply remove the old battery, put in the new one (making sure to insert the positive side correctly), and replace the back cover.
6. Slide the Back Cover Back on:
Slide the back cover back on the key, ensuring that it securely clicks into place.
7. Test the Key:
Try using the key to open and start your Renault Clio to ensure that it works correctly.
Additional Tip:
- If the key is difficult to remove, try using a pair of pliers to gently hold the release button while you slide the back cover off.
With these steps, you should be able to remove the back of the key for your Renault Clio easily and replace the battery if needed.
