How to Tighten the serpentine belt on a 5 series BMW?

To tighten the serpentine belt on a 5 series BMW, follow these steps:

1. Open the hood of your car and locate the serpentine belt. It is the long, black belt that runs around the front of the engine.

2. Find the belt tensioner, which is a pulley attached to the engine block.

3. Using a wrench, turn the tensioner pulley clockwise to tighten the belt.

4. Continue to tighten the belt until it is snug, but not too tight. There should be about 1/2 inch of play between the belt and the pulleys.

5. Once the belt is tightened, release the tensioner pulley.

6. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.

7. If the belt is still slipping, repeat steps 3-6 until the belt is properly tightened.

8. Check the belt tension periodically and adjust as needed.
