1. Drain the oil.
Place an oil pan under the drain plug, which is located on the bottom of the engine.
Remove the drain plug and allow the oil to drain completely.
2. Locate the oil filter.
The oil filter is located on the right side of the engine, just below the cylinder head.
3. Remove the oil filter.
Use an oil filter wrench to loosen the oil filter and remove it by hand.
4. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
This will help to create a seal and prevent leaks.
5. Screw on the new oil filter by hand until it is snug.
Do not overtighten the oil filter.
6. Add new oil to the engine.
Use a funnel to add the oil slowly, and check the oil level frequently with the dipstick. Add oil until the level is between the "Full" and "Add" marks on the dipstick.
7. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
This will circulate the new oil throughout the engine.
8. Check the oil level again and add more oil if necessary.
