1. Locate the push rod tubes on the left side of the engine. There are two push rod tubes, one for the intake valve and one for the exhaust valve.
2. Remove the push rod tube covers by unscrewing the screws that hold them in place.
3. Use a feeler gauge to measure the clearance between the push rod and the lifter block. The clearance should be between 0.004 and 0.006 inches (0.10 and 0.15 mm).
4. If the clearance is too tight, you will need to adjust the push rod. To do this, use a wrench to turn the push rod clockwise until the clearance is correct.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other push rod.
6. Replace the push rod tube covers and make sure the push rod covers are tight against the push rod tube seal
It is important to check and adjust the push rod clearance regularly to ensure that the engine is running properly.
