Locate the air intake tube. It is the black hose that connects the carburetor to the air box.
Remove the air intake tube by loosening the clamp that holds it in place.
Cut a small hole in the air intake tube, about 1/4 inch in diameter. The hole should be located near the carburetor end of the tube.
Replace the air intake tube and tighten the clamp.
Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
Take the scooter for a test ride and feel for any improvements in acceleration or top speed.
If the derestriction has been successful, you should notice a slight increase in acceleration and top speed.
