1. Park the Lakota on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the chain adjuster bolts on the rear axle carrier. There are two bolts, one on each side of the axle.
3. Loosen the locknuts on the chain adjuster bolts.
4. Turn the chain adjuster bolts clockwise to tighten the chain.
5. Tighten the chain until it has about 1/2 inch of play between the top of the chain and the bottom of the swingarm.
6. Retighten the locknuts on the chain adjuster bolts.
7. Check the chain tension again to make sure it is correct.
