- Oil filter wrench
- Funnel
- Wrench
Materials:
- New oil filter
- New crush washer
- Oil (Check your owner's manual for the recommended oil type and amount)
Instructions:
1. Make sure the engine is warm so that the oil flows easily.
2. Place an oil pan beneath the oil drain plug, which is located on the bottom of the engine casing.
3. Remove the oil drain plug using a wrench and allow all of the oil to drain into the oil pan.
4. Replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
5. Remove the old oil filter using an oil filter wrench. Be careful not to spill any oil.
6. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
7. Screw on the new oil filter until it is snug. Do not overtighten the oil filter.
8. Remove the oil filler plug, which is located on the top of the engine casing, near the front.
9. Add new oil to the engine using a funnel. Add the amount of oil specified in your owner's manual.
10. Check the oil level using the oil level sight glass. The oil level should be between the "full" and "add" marks.
11. Replace the oil filler plug and tighten it securely.
Tips:
- If you are unable to remove the oil drain plug or the oil filter by hand, you can use a wrench to loosen them.
- Be careful not to overtighten the oil drain plug or the oil filter. This could damage the threads.
- If you spill any oil, clean it up immediately to avoid slipping.
