- Blown fuse
- Faulty brake light switch
- Damaged wiring
- Faulty brake light bulb
Troubleshooting steps:
1. Check the fuse: The brake light fuse is usually located in the fuse box under the seat. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage.
2. Check the brake light switch: The brake light switch is located on the right handlebar. When you press the brake lever, the switch should make contact and complete the circuit, turning on the brake light. If the switch is not making contact, adjust it or replace it.
3. Check the wiring: Inspect the wiring for any damage, such as cuts or breaks. If you find any damaged wiring, repair it or replace it.
4. Check the brake light bulb: Remove the brake light bulb and inspect it for damage. If the bulb is burned out, replace it with a new bulb of the same wattage.
If you have checked all of these items and the brake light still does not work, you may need to take your motorcycle to a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.
