To refill it:
1. Open the hood: Locate the hood release lever (usually inside the car, near the steering column or under the dashboard) and pull it to release the hood latch. Prop the hood up using the hood prop rod.
2. Locate the reservoir: Look for a plastic reservoir tank, often with a clearly marked "Washer Fluid" label or a symbol of a windshield wiper. It's usually a somewhat translucent container so you can see the fluid level. It might be near the battery or other components under the hood.
3. Remove the cap: Carefully unscrew the cap of the reservoir.
4. Add washer fluid: Use a funnel if you have one to prevent spills. Add the appropriate washer fluid for your climate. In colder climates, you’ll need winter washer fluid that contains de-icer. Don't overfill the reservoir. It usually has a maximum fill line.
5. Replace the cap: Tightly screw the cap back onto the reservoir.
6. Close the hood: Carefully lower the hood until it latches securely.
If you can't find the reservoir after checking the passenger-side area under the hood, consult your owner's manual. It should have a diagram showing the location of all fluid reservoirs.
