Chrysler 200 & 300 – How to Open The Gas Tank and Cap

Are you in a rental, in line to get gas and realize you don’t know how to release the gas tank? You’re not alone!

Many people wonder how to open the gas tank door on the 2010 through 2018 Chrysler 200 and 300 models.

There is no gas tank button inside of the vehicle. To access the gas cap, follow these steps:

1. After you arrive at the gas station, open the door and step out.
2. Walk back to the rear of the car.
3. Press with some pressure on the gas tank door. If you press inward with enough pressure and release, the gas door will open up. You’ll now have access to the gas cap.
4. After opening, insert the gas nozzle and begin pumping your fuel.
