Park your Blazer in a safe location and turn off the engine.
Locate the hazard switch. On a 1997 Blazer, it is located on the dashboard, to the left of the steering wheel.
Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry off the plastic cover surrounding the hazard switch.
Remove the screws holding the hazard switch in place.
Carefully disconnect the electrical connectors from the hazard switch.
Remove the old hazard switch from the vehicle.
Place the new hazard switch into the opening and secure it with the screws.
Reconnect the electrical connectors.
Replace the plastic cover and press it into place until it snaps shut.
Test the hazard switch to make sure it is working properly.
