2. Prepare the work area. Park your truck on a level surface and chock the wheels. Engage the parking brake. If your truck has a front-wheel drive, you may need to remove the front wheels.
3. Remove the wheel bearing cover. The wheel bearing cover is located on the back of the wheel hub. Use a screwdriver and a pry bar to pry the cover off.
4. Remove the old wheel bearing grease. Use a screwdriver and a pry bar to scrape the old grease out of the wheel bearing housing.
5. Clean the wheel bearing housing. Use a clean cloth to wipe the wheel bearing housing clean.
6. Install the new wheel bearing grease. Use a grease gun to apply new wheel bearing grease to the wheel bearing housing. Pack the grease in until it is level with the top of the housing.
7. Replace the wheel bearing cover. Use a screwdriver and a pry bar to pry the cover back into place.
8. Reinstall the wheel. If you removed the front wheels, re-install them now. Tighten the lug nuts until they are snug.
9. Lower the vehicle. Jack the vehicle up until the tires are off the ground. Remove the jack stands and lower the vehicle.
