- Window Regulator Repair Kit (including window regulator, track, and mounting hardware)
Instructions:
1. Remove the Door Panel:
- Open the driver's side door and remove the plastic cover near the inside door handle.
- Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the door panel to the door.
- Gently pry the door panel away from the door, starting from the bottom and working your way up.
- Unplug any electrical connectors behind the door panel and set it aside.
2. Access the Window Regulator:
- Locate the window regulator mechanism inside the door. It is usually mounted behind the door panel.
3. Remove the Old Window Regulator:
- Remove the bolts or screws that hold the window regulator in place.
- Carefully lift out the old window regulator from the door.
4. Install the New Window Regulator:
- Place the new window regulator into the door, making sure that the mounting holes align.
- Secure the new window regulator with the bolts or screws you removed earlier.
5. Reattach the Window Track:
- If the window track is damaged or broken, it will need to be replaced as well.
- Align the window track with the window regulator and secure it with the included mounting hardware.
6. Test the Window:
- Test the window to make sure it rolls up and down smoothly.
7. Reinstall the Door Panel:
- Reattach any electrical connectors you disconnected earlier.
- Place the door panel back in position and secure it with the screws you removed earlier.
- Reattach the plastic cover near the inside door handle.
8. Testing:
- Once everything is reassembled, test the window by rolling it up and down a few times to ensure it operates smoothly and stays on track.
