2. Remove the door handle surround. The door handle surround is a plastic piece that covers the door handle. There are two screws that hold it in place, one located on the top, and one located on the bottom. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove these screws, and then pull the door handle surround off.
3. Disconnect the power window switch. The power window switch is connected to the door panel by a wire harness. Disconnect this harness by pressing down on the release tab and pulling the harness connector apart.
4. Remove the door panel. Once all the screws are removed and the power window switch is disconnected, you can remove the door panel by pulling it straight up. There may be some clips that hold it in place, but you can just pry them loose with your fingers.
5. Replace the door lock. The door lock is located on the inside of the door panel. There are two screws that hold it in place, one on the top, and one on the bottom. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove these screws, and then pull the door lock out.
6. Install the new door lock. Insert the new door lock into the door panel, and then secure it with the two screws that you removed earlier.
7. Reinstall the door panel. Reinstall the door panel by aligning it with the holes on the door frame and pushing it down until it snaps into place.
8. Reattach the power window switch. Reattach the power window switch by connecting the wire harness connector and pressing down on the release tab.
9. Reattach the door handle surround. Reattach the door handle surround by aligning the holes in the top and bottom tabs with the holes on the door panel and pushing it back into place.
10. Tighten the screws. Tighten the four screws that you removed earlier to secure the door panel in place.
