* Jack and jack stands
* Wrench set
* Socket set
* Impact driver (optional)
* Penetrating oil (optional)
Instructions
1. Raise the rear of the car with a jack and place jack stands under the frame.
2. Remove the lug nuts from the rear wheels and remove the wheels.
3. Unbolt the lower shock mount bolts using a wrench or impact driver.
4. Unbolt the upper shock mount nuts using a wrench or impact driver.
5. Remove the old shocks from the car.
6. Assemble the new shocks in the reverse order of removal.
7. Torque the lug nuts to the proper specification.
8. Lower the car and remove the jack stands.
Here are some additional tips:
* Before you begin, spray the shock bolts and nuts with penetrating oil. This will help to loosen them up and make them easier to remove.
* If you don't have an impact driver, you can use a breaker bar to loosen the bolts and nuts.
* Be careful not to drop the lug nuts or the wheels.
* If the new shocks are longer than the old ones, you may need to install longer bump stops.
* When you're done, make sure to take the car for a test drive to make sure the shocks are working properly.
