1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood and locate the brake fluid reservoir. It's usually a clear or translucent container with a black cap.
3. Remove the cap from the brake fluid reservoir.
4. Use a turkey baster or other small suction device to remove some brake fluid from the reservoir. Be careful not to spill any brake fluid.
5. Replace the cap on the brake fluid reservoir.
6. Start the engine and press the brake pedal several times. The brake light should go off.
If the brake light does not go off, here are a few possible causes:
* The brake fluid level sensor is faulty.
* There is a leak in the brake system.
* The brake pads are not installed correctly.
If you are not comfortable performing any of these steps, you can take your car to a trusted mechanic to have the brake light reset.
