2. Locate the timing mark on the crankshaft pulley.
3. Rotate the crankshaft until the timing mark aligns with the pointer on the timing cover.
4. Loosen the distributor hold-down clamp.
5. Turn the distributor housing until the rotor points to the number one spark plug wire terminal on the distributor cap.
6. Hand-tighten the distributor hold-down clamp.
7. Connect the distributor cap and spark plug wires.
8. Start the engine and check the timing with a timing light.
9. If necessary, adjust the timing by turning the distributor housing.
10. Tighten the distributor hold-down clamp.
