Make sure the car is turned off and cool. The engine should be cool enough to touch.
Open the hood of your Nissan Sentra. Locate the headlight assembly that needs the bulb replaced.
Unplug the electrical connector attached to the back of the headlight assembly by pressing down on the retainer clip and pulling the connector straight off.
Turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it.
Carefully remove the old bulb from the housing. Never touch the new bulb with your bare hands. The oil from your fingers can cause the bulb to shatter when turned on.
Inspect the bulb socket for any damage or corrosion and replace it if necessary.
Insert the new bulb into the housing. Make sure the bulb is properly seated and secure before proceeding to the next step.
Turn the bulb clockwise until it locks in place.
Reconnect the electrical connector by pushing it back into place until you hear a click.
Test the new headlight bulb by turning on the headlights.
If the headlight still doesn't work after replacing the bulb, it's possible that there's a problem with the electrical wiring or the switch. In this case, it is recommended to take your car to a qualified mechanic to diagnose and fix the issue.
