-A lug wrench
-A jack and jack stands
-A breaker bar
-A socket set
-A C-clamp
Instructions:
Step 1: Loosen the Lug Nuts
Park your car on a level surface and set the parking brake. Use the lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts on the wheels that are attached to the brake rotors you want to remove. Do not remove the lug nuts completely.
Step 2: Raise the Car
Place the jack under the car and raise it until the wheels you are working on are off the ground. Ensure that the car is securely supported on the jack stands.
Step 3: Remove the Wheels
Use the lug wrench to remove the lug nuts completely and take off the wheels.
Step 4: Remove the Caliper
Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts holding the caliper in place. Carefully remove the caliper and hang it with a coat hanger or wire so it does not interfere with your work.
Step 5: Remove the Brake Rotor
Use the breaker bar and the appropriate socket to loosen the bolts holding the brake rotor in place. Remove the bolts and take off the brake rotor.
Step 6: Clean the Rotor
Use a wire brush or sandpaper to clean the rotor and remove any rust or debris.
Step 7: Reassemble the Brakes
Put the brake rotor back on, and replace the bolts and tighten the lug nuts. Replace the wheel, and lower the car off the jack stands.
