1. Disconnect the battery Negative cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner.
3. Disconnect the ground (brown) wire bolted to the alternator.
4. Disconnect the Black/Red striped wire, the Orange wire and the Green wire from the alternator.
5. Remove the belt tension bolt located on the left corner of the alternator and remove the belt.
6. Remove the 12mm bolts that hold the alternator in place and remove the alternator.
7. Install the new alternator and reverse the above steps.

* Make sure that the new alternator is the correct one for your vehicle.
* If you are replacing the alternator for the first time, it is a good idea to have a qualified mechanic help you.
* Be careful not to drop any nuts or bolts into the engine compartment.
* Recheck all the wires are connected properly before closing the hood.
