How do you reset Kia immobilizer code?

Here is how to reset Kia immobilizer code:

1. Locate the Immobilizer Control Module (ICM). The ICM is a small, black box located under the dashboard, near the steering column.

2. Disconnect the ICM from the vehicle's electrical system. To do this, use a flat-head screwdriver to pry open the plastic cover on the ICM. Then, use a pair of pliers to disconnect the wiring harness from the ICM.

3. Wait 30 seconds. This will allow the ICM to reset.

4. Reconnect the ICM to the vehicle's electrical system. Plug the wiring harness back into the ICM and snap the plastic cover back into place.

5. Turn on the ignition. The immobilizer light on the dashboard should turn off. If the light stays on, the reset was unsuccessful and you will need to take your vehicle to a Kia dealership.

Note: If you have a spare key for your Kia, you can use it to reset the immobilizer code without having to disconnect the ICM. To do this, simply insert the spare key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position. The immobilizer light on the dashboard should turn off. If the light stays on, the reset was unsuccessful and you will need to take your vehicle to a Kia dealership.
