1. Park the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
3. Open the hood.
4. Locate the fuel line that runs from the fuel tank to the engine.
5. Disconnect the fuel line from the engine by pressing the release button and pulling the line off the nipple.
6. Place a container under the fuel line to catch the gasoline.
7. Open the fuel tank cap to allow air into the tank.
8. The gasoline will begin to drain from the fuel line into the container.
9. Allow the gasoline to drain completely.
10. Reconnect the fuel line to the engine.
11. Close the fuel tank cap.
12. Start the engine and allow it to run for a few minutes to circulate the new gasoline through the fuel system.
If you are unable to perform this task yourself, you can take your vehicle to a mechanic to have the gas tank drained.
