1. Locate the childproof lock switch on the inside of the door. It is usually located on the door frame near the top of the door.
2. Slide the childproof lock switch to the "off" position.
3. Try to open the door from the outside using the inside door handle.
4. If the door still does not open, you may need to use a tool to pry open the door. A screwdriver or pry bar may be used to insert into the crack between the door and the door frame and gently pry the door open.
5. Once the door is open, you can replace the broken outside door handle.
