Tools and Materials Required:
Replacement side marker light bulb (appropriate for your vehicle)
Phillips head screwdriver
Flat head screwdriver or pry tool
Instructions:
1. Park your Ford Ranger on a level surface and turn off the engine. Allow it to cool down if necessary.
2. Locate the side marker light assembly. It is usually found near the front corner of the vehicle, between the headlight and the front fender.
3. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the side marker light assembly in place. There may be one or two screws, depending on your vehicle's model.
4. Once the screws are removed, carefully pry open the side marker light assembly using a flat head screwdriver or pry tool. Start from one corner and work your way around, being careful not to damage the assembly or surrounding paint.
5. Locate the old side marker light bulb inside the assembly. It may be held in place by a clip or socket.
6. Gently press down on the clip or twist the socket to release the old bulb. Remove the old bulb from its socket.
7. Take the new side marker light bulb and insert it into the socket, ensuring it is properly seated.
8. Secure the new bulb by pressing the clip or twisting the socket back into place.
9. Reattach the side marker light assembly to the vehicle by aligning it properly and replacing the screws that you removed earlier. Tighten the screws snugly.
10. Test the new side marker light bulb by turning on the headlights or parking lights. Verify that the new bulb is working correctly.
11. Dispose of the old bulb safely.
