- New bumper
- Ratchet set
- Socket set
- Screwdriver
- Pliers
- Utility knife
- Masking tape
- Paint (optional)
Instructions:
1. Park your car in a safe and level location. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
2. Open the hood of your car and disconnect the battery. This will prevent any electrical accidents from happening while you are working on the bumper.
3. Remove the front wheels. This will give you better access to the bumper.
4. Remove the bolts that hold the bumper in place. There are typically two bolts on each side of the bumper, and one or two more at the bottom.
5. Carefully remove the bumper from the car. Be careful not to damage the paint or any of the other body panels.
6. If you are replacing the bumper with a new one, now is the time to paint it. You can use spray paint or a brush-on paint, depending on your preference. Be sure to let the paint dry completely before continuing.
7. Once the paint is dry, or if you are not replacing the bumper, you can reinstall it. Simply reverse the steps that you took to remove it, and be sure to tighten the bolts securely.
8. Reconnect the battery and put the wheels back on.
