The alarm on a 2001 Ford F-150 can be reset by using the key fob or the driver's door lock.
To reset the alarm using the key fob:
1. Press the "Unlock" button on the key fob twice.
2. Within five seconds of pressing the "Unlock" button the second time, press and hold the "Panic" button for at least two seconds.
The alarm will sound for a few seconds and then turn off.
To reset the alarm using the driver's door lock:
1. Insert the key into the driver's door lock and turn it to the "Unlock" position.
2. Within five seconds of turning the key to the "Unlock" position, turn it to the "Lock" position and then back to the "Unlock" position.
3. The alarm will sound for a few seconds and then turn off.
Note: If the alarm is not reset within five seconds of pressing the "Unlock" button on the key fob or turning the key in the driver's door lock, it will continue to sound until the battery is disconnected.
