How do you replace the front air deflector and on a 2006 Buick lucerne?

Tools and Materials Needed

* Replacement front air deflector

* Phillips head screwdriver

* Flat head screwdriver

* 10mm socket wrench

* Ratchet

Instructions:

1. Park the car in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down if it has been running.

2. Open the hood of the car.

3. Locate the front air deflector. It is the long, thin plastic piece that runs across the front of the car, just below the headlights.

4. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the front air deflector in place. There are four screws in total, two on each side.

5. Once the screws are removed, gently pry the old air deflector off the car. Be careful not to damage the paint or the surrounding bodywork.

6. Clean the area where the old air deflector was installed, removing any dirt or debris.

7. Position the new air deflector in place and align the screw holes.

8. Insert the screws and tighten them until they are snug.

9. Close the hood of the car and you're done!

Tips:

* If you have a difficult time removing the old deflector, you can insert the flathead screwdriver between the panel and the air deflector and pry up or down.

* If the holes in the new deflector do not line up with the holes in the car, use a Dremel to elongate them.

* After tightening the screws, use a damp rag to wipe away any fingerprints.
