1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood and locate the clutch master cylinder. It is usually located on the firewall near the brake master cylinder.
3. Disconnect the hydraulic line from the clutch master cylinder. There may be a retaining clip or bolt that needs to be removed first.
4. Remove the bolts that secure the clutch master cylinder to the firewall.
5. Pull the clutch master cylinder away from the firewall and allow any remaining fluid to drain out.
6. Plug the opening in the firewall to prevent fluid from leaking out.
7. Reinstall the bolts that secure the clutch master cylinder to the firewall.
8. Reconnect the hydraulic line to the clutch master cylinder.
9. Fill the clutch master cylinder with new fluid.
10. Bleed the clutch hydraulic system to remove any air bubbles.
Once you have completed these steps, the hydraulic clutch will be disconnected and the transmission can be removed.
