Can you put your minor child on auto loan?

In most cases, no. A minor is not legally able to enter into a contract, which includes an auto loan. The only exception would be if your state allows emancipated minors to enter into contracts. Even so, most lenders will still not lend money to a minor, even if they are emancipated.
