1. Gather the necessary tools and materials.
* Pro-Lift G-2489 Replacement Seal Kit
* Seal Puller Set
* Seal Installer
* Hammer
* Socket Wrench
* Clean Rags
* Hydraulic Jack Oil
2. Prepare the hydraulic jack.
* Place the hydraulic jack on a stable surface.
* Remove the oil plug and drain the hydraulic oil into a drain pan.
* Disconnect the hydraulic hoses from the pump body.
* Remove the pump mounting bolts and remove the pump from the hydraulic jack.
3. Remove the old seals.
* Use the seal puller set to remove the old seals from the cylinder and piston.
* Be careful not to damage the cylinder or piston.
4. Clean the cylinder and piston.
* Use a clean rag to clean the cylinder and piston.
* Remove all dirt, debris, and old grease.
5. Install the new seals.
* Use the seal installer to install the new seals into the cylinder and piston.
* Make sure that the seals are properly seated.
6. Reassemble the hydraulic jack.
* Reinstall the pump onto the hydraulic jack and bolt it into place.
* Reconnect the hydraulic hoses to the pump body.
* Add new hydraulic oil to the hydraulic jack.
* Bleed the air from the hydraulic system.
7. Test the hydraulic jack.
* Operate the hydraulic jack to make sure that it is working properly.
* Check for any leaks.
